To be more precise: The WikiTree profiles *DO* match with the correct Robert Harris.
The parents of noted on the WikiTree profile(s) may be (are) wrong, but the profile match is correct.
This is one of the most confusing, and potentially mis-leading, aspects of SmartMatches.
A confirmed SmartMatch asserts that the profile on Geni does indeed correspond to the person described in the match:
-- it does NOT assert that all family members on that other site are correct.
-- it does NOT even assert that all the details about the person are correct on that site.
... but enough *is* correct to say "Yes, that is the same person as this one."
Ideally, there would be a way to attach "notes" or a "quality rating" or some such thing to a 'match' so that the viewer could have a better sense of the quality of the information surrounding a profile might be.
Since we don't have that capability (at the present time), the best that can be done is to:
-- provide attached sources on the Sources tab,
-- cite the correct values shown in those sources (see https://www.geni.com/blog/geni-tips-how-to-add-sources-to-profiles-...)
-- document other (currently un-cite-able) aspects (e.g. relationships) in the About text.
-- have a Curator lock the cited fields and/or relationships
There are a number of other possible 'consistency' errors with the relationships surrounding Robert Harris' profile which ought to be either documented or fixed:
-- 4 children of Robert & Elizabeth were born before the current marriage date (it may not be an error of fact; it just perhaps ought to be verified and noted).
-- the currently-attached mother of Robert is shown as having died before Robert was born (as well as 2 of his 3 siblings) ... something is wrong there.
