Siggeir's father should be Sigar?

It looks to me to be a mistake that Siggeir Wægdæging is connected to Weothulgeot as a son?

Why does it look "like a mistake" to you, what do you think might be more accurate?

Does Volsunga saga mention Siggeir's father?

It looks like a mistake because most people only have one father.

Weothulgeot is a figure from Anglo Saxon tradition, Siggeir is from sagas, hence looks like a mistake. Whether or not Volsunga mentions Siggeir's father I don't know.

Ah, now I see what you mean. I didn't see the alternate parents the first time.
There's a merge that looks like it should be undone on this one. I suspect it's based on the theory that "Beowulf" and Volsunga saga describe the same family.

I undid the last joins on Siggeir and Signy. They probably need to be rejoined, but without Siggeir's father.
There's a "Sister of Siggeir" that should go with Siggeir.

I suspect that the problem is a 2011 merge, but this was before merges were inspectable.

Thanks Harald.

Yes, thank you, I am certain that I am not as well versed on this subject as you two,
I was aware of the "English" claim, etc. and of the controversy of Siggeir/Signy, but
only just barely. My interest in this subject has been rekindled, and I thank you for
that Alex Moes

Harald is our expert i just merge things :)

And I, am learning from your merges, thank you
