Why are there so many profiles in this project? There should be only 7, as the Ushpizin are Patriarch Abraham / אברהם אבינו, Patriarch Isaac / יצחק אבינו Patriarch Jacob / יעקב אבינו Joseph, Vizier of Egypt, Prophet Moses the Law Giver Aaron ., High Priest and King David of Israel. Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Yehuda Rubin What an excellent and important question!

Projects were created as a very personal supplementary creative process for Geni members to enjoy, and each one provides unique experiences, insights and objectives, without any rules regarding limiting profile numbers to a specific set of parameters.

In addition, not only do projects offer members a way to add religious, cultural, geographical and historical context to enhance profiles, but they are both intensely engaging, informative and collaborative for members.

Plus projects provide great marketing opportunities for Geni as they are often accidentally caught up in tangential Google subject searches, and suddenly someone who had no interest in genealogy is swept into the electrifying world of interactive genealogy, and discover Geni's unlimited collaborative possibilities to aid in embarking on exploring one's own roots, and the exquisite joy of virtually reviving the past both through personal trees, and geographical projects.

BTW, Ushpizin (spiritual visitors) is an organically growing concept that has spread across the different Jewish denominations, and many groups invite additional Unshpizin during Sukkoth.

This in no way negates from the original concept, but indicates how deeply meaningful the idea has become.
