For this profile:
I just cannot find as of yet a definitive source about his place and date of death. There are two different hypotheses:
--- Hypothesis A ---
He died in Acadia, before the 1686 census. His wife, Jeanne Rousselière, remarried in 1687. There is no direct record (as far as I know) of Pierre's death supporting this hypothesis.
These sources seem to indirectly support this hypothesis:

--- Hypothesis B ---
Pierre returned in Québec before 1686 by himself, perhaps in secret. He is believed death by his family, thus his wife can remarry. Then he dies in 1700. The Church record shows only his name and approximate age of 55. No family mentioned.
This is the Church record:

and Tanguay seems to agree that this is about this profile:

--- Discussion ---
Being born in 1630, he should be 70 in 1700, not 55. This shed some doubts on whether the Church record is really about this Pierre Godin, and not someone else. That someone else (if he exists) would be born in 1645.
However, I cannot find any Pierre Godin (or Gaudin, Cottin) born c1645. I cannot find any other Pierre Godin who would have died in 1700 either.
--- Your Help Please ---
If you have any other sources that may support either hypotheses, please post them with the profile and let me know. For example, I`d really like to see what PRDH and Francogen have on this profile.

Here is the online profile on Francogen: http://www.francogene.com/genealogie-quebec-genealogy/000/000276.php
It doesn't include the death, but the 2015 CD that I have does include the note "dead before census 1686 (Acadia)". So I wonder if he removed that note since 2015 or if it's just not included in the version online.
