If David is truly my 99 of my ancestors (Geni 3/15/2917). And the high priest Levi can not have my 100's ancestor. Would it be impossible to time the time line? Found a new line through southern France...interesting. King David is 107th grandfather Many of the closer relatives that I have looked at were reputed to be of Judaic heritage.

My line keeps flipping back and forth, first King David is my GGrandfather then he is not and was same with a lot of the other top known biblical figures always through my dad's line but now every time I check the tree always calculates through my mom's line and now only biblical figures that are GGrandparents are Seth, Joseph and Aaron<Moses brother and a few High Priest after Aaron. :(

Since we already know the line is fake at some point the trick is to figure out where. I can see at a glance the problem is in medieval Spain -- as it usually is.

It's not likely you'll get a stable line on Geni to anyone that far back. People are always merging new duplicates and cleaning up the lines.

Shannon, it keeps switching because people are changing the connections further back in the tree. King David currently shows as your 9th great uncle's 81st great grandfather. In other words, he's an ancestor of your uncle by marriage but not your ancestor. The line runs through Paloma, which means it is the one line known to modern historians that might actually be linked correctly to claimed descendants of King David.

Harald, the problems with the line through Kiev are back in Byzantium. If I get some time this weekend I'll do some work on those lines.
