"Geertje Casperse Hendrickse Steynmets" has two patronyms, which is impossible, neither of which match her father's name as currently displayed on Geni = Johannes.

Also her third marriage in 1672 is impossible because the woman who is married 17 Nov 1672 is listed as "j.d" so she cannot have been married twice already with a bunch of children.

One man who is currently connected as a husband is Andries Willemszen Hoppe

Andries currently has 3 wives with the "same" name so there might be a clue there, epecially as two of his wives are mother and daughter.

Quoting Wilson V. Ledley's article The Van Dien Family; page 952 of Genealogies of New Jersey Families: Families A-Z, pre-American notes on old New Netherland families

https://books.google.com.au/books?id=k4zStKaPmsEC&printsec=fron...

“Ackerman in his Hooper Genealogy said that according to a deposition made Dec. 18, 1658, Geertje stated she was a daughter of Casparus STeinmets, but on checking his source (Orphanmaster’s Minutes, p. 58) the present complier has found no such statement.”

The reference to Ackerman is presumably https://familysearch.org/eng/library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.a...

So it seems that Akerman published an unsupported claim in the 1947, which is readily available online for free, and that claim is repeated ad infinitum in online trees (because no one likes a dead end!).
