The overview of this profile for Robert of Hesbaye, II. Count of Worms says that he and his 1st wife had a son but he has no son attached.

Sorry out of my expertise area to know whether the overview is incorrect.

Thanks, Private User ! — looks like the son was disconnected because no primary source for the connection has been identified. So all is well.

Sorted, Debra.

Both profiles are connected to the same husband, and they have the same birth and death dates. Only one profile lists parents.

Dear curators, please consider isolating these trees. They duplicate master profiles and add no new information.

Private User - URLs for the target profiles or the URL for the tree match.

One side was added today. https://www.geni.com/search/matches?id=6000000000619994838&src=profile&cmp=btn There is more to this tree.

Not sure if this profile fits the bill for "Medieval tree" being from 5th century and Saudi Arabia but I dont know who are the experts in such matters.

Anyway, I stumbled across this profile

Hashim (A'mr ul-U'la) bin Imaam ‘Abd al-Manāf

which has a tree match to resolve:

In the absence of further guidance from this forum in relation to my previous posts, I am proposing the following:

1) Merge Berthold II graf von DieBen-Andechs into Berthold IV, Graf von Andechs

2) Merge Sophie of Istria into Sophie von Istrien, Gräfin von Andechs

Last change for commentary....

Craig Andrew Miles - it would be much better to find the lowest point on the new tree and let us isolate it as a duplicate. No one will take responsibility for resolving conflicts.

One or more Private profiles including Vienne.

The duplicate line has a different father for Leo the Wise:

Basil I, Byzantine Emperor

Eudokia Ingerina, Byzantine Empress

Thanks for your response. Your suggestion sounds much better.

It looks like it's a bit complicated though.

If Berthold II graf von DieBen-Andechs really is Berthold IV, Graf von Andechs then the tree going upwards is just wrong and contains just 3 profiles.

There is no tree going up from Sophie of Istria fortunately

Going down from Berthold there is a single child Gisela von Berg-Schelkingen who appears to be a dupe of Gisela von Berg-Schelklingen

The husband of Gisela Diepold von Berg-Schelkingen appears to be a dupe of Diepold I von Berg-Schelklingen, Graf von Berg-Schelklingen

Their child Ulrich l von Berg-Schelkingen and his wife Udilhild von Berg-Schelkingen then appear to be dupes of Ulrich, Count of Berg-Schelklingen and his wife Udilhild Von Ronsberg

However, this is where the 2 trees diverge as the union of Ulrich, Count of Berg-Schelklingen and his wife Udilhild Von Ronsberg has no children whereas the union of Ulrich l von Berg-Schelkingen and his wife Udilhild von Berg-Schelkingen has a single child Udelhild von Kirchberg with an extensive tree including marriage to Otto lll von Kirchberg

So it looks like:

1) Udelhild von Kirchberg should be connected to Ulrich, Count of Berg-Schelklingen and his wife Udilhild Von Ronsberg?

2) Then there is the matter of reconnecting the tree above Udilhild von Berg-Schelkingen to Udilhild Von Ronsberg

3) Only then can what's left of the tree be isolated from Ulrich l von Berg-Schelkingen and above, I think.

Hope this helps to whoever has the powers and willingness to follow this through....

Not my area of history Craig Andrew Miles So I pass. Check the curator project for our Europeans and perhaps can interest them to work on it. This is a duplicates project and you’ve shown it’s not straightforward. I’ll post the curators project link shortly.

Hi Craig
I accepted the merge for the mentioned profile. He's one of my direct maternal side ancestors. In Egypt we have a syndicate that has been working on and off for about 1200 years keeping records of the descendants of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). The profile is for Hashem one of the ancestors of the prophet, but you should remove the title "imam" because it is used for Ali Ibn Abi Taleb, Alhussain and some of his descendants, and Alhassan, not for the ancestors of the prophet. Let me know if you have any questions.

Sir John Carew, MP, 3rd Baronet has had a duplicate wife with parents recently added.

Neil Lindsay Youren Sir John Carew, MP, 3rd Baronet merged and update done.

Craig Andrew Miles I did the isolating of the duplicates you found - thankyou
I've invited the manager to the tree so he can see our process
Regarding 1) Udelhild von Berg von Kirchberg should be connected to Ulrich, Count of Berg-Schelklingen and his wife Udilhild Von Ronsberg? I'll wait for him to provide primary sources before I do that.
Thanks for all your work.

These 2 appear the same but the husband has different ancestors

One side to them was manually added within the past hour!

Note: There are many more profiles than just those that intersect with my tree!
