The (old unmerged) duplicate Sir James Hamilton, 5th of Cadzow has a non duplicative, multi manager daughter Mariota Hamilton & a slightly different mother, Janet Douglas, of Dalkeith vs Janet Douglas, of Dalkeith

So need to examine that.

as you can see, Geni started working on this medieval upper part of the tree 16 years ago... and we all have to work on the same big world tree,
Indeed now we need to see where your duplication is connected.

you are welcome if you are passionate about the time and area, but there will be quite a few precedures to know before working so high (certainly not duplication:)

Private User Thanks for the info. I ran across them in the horizontal tree view and saw there were only 2 maybe 3 gen of people who seemed meant to be the others. Since they required permissions, I figured someone else could see rather than have them float around forever.

That line had been partially merged in, AND was one of those duplicate lines that has been attached to the Tree with an attachment that goes against the notes.

It’s ok now, I think.
