John McDowell, I - Immigration to U.S.?

Trying to determine date & place that John, wife (Jane Calhoun) & son (Robert) immigrated to U.S. - believe it to be in Virginia, colonial America, between 1710 & 1725.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
