John Gyse, III, of Elmore Court - Mother of John Gyse (abt. 1485-1556)

The mother of John Gyse (b. abt. 1485) is not Agnes de Berkeley (b. abt. 1363). Agnes de Berkeley, daughter of Maurice de Berkeley, was much too old to be the mother of John Gyse. More likely John's mother was Anne Berkeley (b. abt. 1462), daughter of William Berkeley and Anne Stafford.
