I was just reading about the decades old Thomas Edison theory that he was born in Mexico.

Private User has even created a profile with that lineage: Thomas Alva Edison, Fictional profile while there is the Master Profile here: Thomas Alva Edison, Inventor

Does anybody know the latest thoughts on this theory? Has anybody out there more recently tried to prove or disprove it?

Thanks

John

Martin RhNegativ, you can Google "Thomas Edison Mexico" and some stuff comes up. I should have posted some links:

Thomas was Scandinavian, all surnames ending with son are most likely Swedish in origin. He built a home in Southern California and did electrical work for a major hotel. Check out a reliable enclopedia for more exact info.

Do you have any sources for these claims like house in S. California and the major hotel.. ? It makes no sense without sources and just doubles the work...
