J Sherman reports:

For what it is worth, here is the copy of John Reade's will from 1597

His will was proved 15 November 1597 Bures, co. Suffolk, England.
"8 July 1597 - the will of John Reade the elder of Bures Saint Mary, county Suffolk, husbandman, being sick of body...to Margaret my wife my unmoveables and moveable goods during her natural life; after her decease £10 which I shall be put into the hands of Mr. Thomas Waldegrave, Mr. William Sympson, William Fyssher the elder and William Fyssher the younger of Bures...to be used for the maintenance of my son John...John shall have without rent the chamber wherein he now lyeth...to Bridget my daughter my best bedstead with my featherbed...to William Knopp my son-in-law my other cupboard...to William Knoppe & John Hume my sons each a cow...to John Hume my second bed...to John Hume my grandchild...to John Knopp my grandchild...residue to be divided (by William Sympson, Robert Lynnche and William Fissher the younger) between William Knopp, John Hume and Bridget my daughter...William Knopp my son-in-law my only executor. Witnesses: John Colman, clerk, Robert Lynnche and John Roye (?). Proved 15 November 1597."

Hopefully, when can use some of the peopel mentioned to try to accurately determine family etc.

This, then, would actually be the will for [John Reade "the elder" of Bures St. Mary], the son of Sir William Read.

How does the Geni tree compare with will details?

Can everyone mentioned be added to the will?

Also, where does the "sir" for William Reade come from? I do not think he was a knight, was he an esquire ?

For what it's worth, Shaw's "Knights of England" lists several William Read(e)/Redes:

Rede, William, K.B. 1501

Read, William, Kt. 1586

Read, William, Kt. 1595

Reade, William, Kt., 1603 (lived in Suffolk)

(and two more in 1705 and 1851, but I don't think they're relevant to this question)

I'm not sure how much of this is relevant either, but it's interesting: https://archive.org/stream/proceedingsofrea00read#page/n7/mode/2up

It's totally relevant and a big help.

** CAUTION: descent to William Reade of Weymouth is not certain, please check more contemporary sources.

I disconnected John Reade "the elder" of Bures St. Mary & gave him NN parents. Entirely different family. My thanks to J Sherman for showing that definitively!

On John's family, we have two sons in law named in the 1597 will, William Knopp, John Hume. Which daughter married which? The only daughter mentioned is Bridget, I suspect she was unmarried then and so referred to on her own. The grandchildren noted were John Hume & John Knopp.

This profile on FamilySearch suggests a few additions:

So, John Hume married Margaret Reade. Margaret was the sister of Elizabeth (married William Knapp) Reade. Margaret appears to have married John Hume on 28 Oct 1588 in Bures St Mary.

This William Reade (which Will's link led to) is of interest as it involves Beccles, which is in Suffolk. This family ends up in Wickford, Essex, which is only 35 miles from Bures St Mary. Perhaps this leads us to some possibilities to actually follow on the Reades.
Here is the link to William Reade:
