Thanks for all the intense research work over the past month by Private User and Justin Durand to untangle this line/ There may be a few strays I haven't noticed, but I think we've got an almost clean area here. It's been a mammoth task, and I salute us :-)

The area that is left still in a mess is Somerled, “King of the Isles” - but I'd like to make that a task for sometime in 2016, and take a break from the Scots for a bit - if everyone is okay with that.
When anyone gets the urge to tackle him, just yell and we'll convene a flash research work-mob :-)

PS - In my email thanking Alisdair Ross for his article - which was crucial - are there any other questions you think I should ask him about this area?

Ask him to join Geni ;)

Seriously, do ask him to join. If he has a tree on ancestry for example I can copy it over for him to the point of getting him joined to the World Family Tree. And every working genealogist "should" be on Geni to their own benefit.
