Wolfert Gerretse Van Kouwenhoven - Forgery?

I love this image which is hyperlinked in his About :

BUT

I am suspicious due to one small detail, the capital "V" looks very strange to me for a Dutch name pre-1674. There is no reference but presumably it comes from the same person who has a blog hyperlinked right next to the signature in his About, sadly that link does not work so where "she" claims to have come by the signature is lost.
