I will ponder, my friend.

Yeah, I basically have nothing that you haven't found.

Here, from 1863; of no use to you but fairly amusing (I do love scholarship from that era, though mostly I Use It Not) -- https://books.google.com/books?id=vWs6AAAAMAAJ&pg=PA13&dq=h...

From 1903, which quotes the one above, but adds other things, also amusing to such as I: https://books.google.com/books?id=2E06AAAAMAAJ&pg=PA14&dq=h...

From 1864, totally not useful but containing colorful anecdotes about later Montgomeries: https://books.google.com/books?id=EfU9AAAAcAAJ&pg=PA22&dq=h...

There is alas no ebook for the book you wanted -- https://books.google.com/books?id=B9l7AAAACAAJ&dq=origin+and+hi...

So I have been of no use to you except that I did look! and then took up some space.

Was Josceline ‘de Torfulus’ The same person as Josceline ‘de Torfulus’

They are both showing as wife of Roger de Montgomery, I, Seigneur de Montgomery

Death dates match, names do not, and source shows only one wife:

http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/NORMANDY%20NOBILITY.htm#Rogerdied1123

ROGER [I] de Montgommery, son of --- (-[before 1048]). … married JOSCELINE, daughter of --- & his wife Sainsfrida [Senfrie][443] . ….

Erica Howton — yes, they are the same person.

We don’t know the birth date, though the.1026 obviously makes no sense, and we don’t know her name other than her given name, as far as I can see.

They just need to be merged.

Private User - done, thank you.

I’ve seen grumblings about France’s tri color flag on medieval profiles, so covered with Normandy flag.

Her name shows up as Joscelina ‘de Torfulus’

A minor adjustment could be to change Joscelina to Josceline with an "e".

It's good that it's pointed out in the profile that there were previous confusions about the Joscelines in different generations.
