From the notes in the profile for Andrew:

This appears to be the ancient origin and evolution of the family name of "Price," which has its origins in Wales. Andrew Price’s son, Thomas Price, born in 1610, left Cowes, Isle of Wight (an island in the English Channel) sometime after 1640 and migrated to Calvert or St. Mary’s, Maryland where he died in 1701.

You need to be very careful with Ark and Dove traditions - there is more BS involved with them than with the Mayflower.

Dove was a supply ship with a small crew and few if any passengers.

I found a Thomas Price on the list for the William & John, September 1635, but the destination was St. Kitts in the Virgin Islands. Some people did stop off in the Caribbean and then push on to the mainland, though.

I see that

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=33482782

Has Thomas Price of St Mary's as the son of Ancient Planter John Price, Ancient Planter

Who however did not have a son Thomas according to the work we put in a couple of years ago.

The dates are really funky too. The death date of 1701 looks firm, but to make him the son of Andrew, died 1610 (?), this Thomas has to have been born before then. Making age 91 is more common up North in this era .... Missing generation?

http://www.geni.com/path/John-Price-Ancient-Planter+is+related+to+H...

Henry and Thomas were sons of Thomas Rice/Price sr. following the above. Thomas sr. was once connected as a son of William ap Rice 1521 who also had a son Henry Rice of NEWTON.

That was disconnected two years ago. Henry Thomas Rice 1558 and Thomas Henry Price 1555 sons of Henry Rice were both married to the same woman: Margaret BAKER. Another brother Robert Rice = 1/2 brother to both Thomas and Henry.

Because of the genetic distance between Robert and Henry Rice, it is assumed an NPE occured linking the two possible siblings of Edmund Rice, the father of John Rice 1630 is only 4 or 5 steps from Edmund....I would think that zeroing in on the Dudley brothers would be fruitful now that that Haplogroup has been established by Dr. R. Dudley of Fla. as being I-1.

I have this Price/Preisch line, to toss into the research pool. And just to make things a tad more interesting (or complicated, depending on how you look at it.), they were from Germany.
*see, her husband! his parents and their children. ;-)

Hello Cousin Theresa: Agnes connects to my Grandmother but that is about 50 years later than Henry Rice of Newton. The male line descends from Viking French Stock, and Grnadma from the Good German Stock That Agnes Represents. Hope all is well not that you are settled after the move. DCR

FYI the Robert and Henry Rice line in blue above shows very little connection to the Larger Edmund Rice CLAN....but the connection was more likely social via a care giving responsibility according to my father's testimony. I and John Rice are a mere 5 single steps and 4 single steps different from Edmund and I have tracked down that stock to the Dudley's I don't know which one for sure...but I have aural testimony to compare Dr. R. Dudley if should care to compare Y results some day. DCR

The completed research now shows:http://www.geni.com/path/Francis+is+related+to+Ernest-E-Stevens-of-...

Because the immediate family does not know of an NPE I will not discuss the linkage to the Rice's from Stevens as it is heresay and possibly hurtful, so just accept that Sir Frances Bacon son of Sir Robert Dudley and unknown woman is the full brother of John Perratt II 1565 raised in the household of Sir John Perrott 1528, member of the Queens Privy Chamber, and trusted Naval advisor during the Spanish Armada's attempt to land in England. His son's William and Sir James Perrott of Havorford West were members of the Puritan Movement of high standing as was Sir John Himself who took in Non-Conformist Preachers at Carew CAstle and came under the eye of Queen Mary and her advisors.

Further: My Uncle is 15th g grandson of William and Isabel Marshall first Earl of Pembroke. He's the 9th g nephew of Mary Bolyne, sister to Anne, both consorts of Henry Tudor VIII. He's also 9th great nephew of Sir Robert Dudley.via Lettice Knolleys and Daughter Penelope Blount, Countess of Devonshire. And Uncle Ernest Stevens is the 11th great grandson of Edward IV Elizabeth Woodville, grand mother of Henry VIII.

Ok, Great! Thank you, Dale, for this very informative (and detailed) information!!!
Although, I also, lead up to or branch left or right to (with blue paths), to Tudors, Plantagenet, Dudley, Bolyne, Blount and Woodville, I had not yet, drawn all of the parallels, you were so kind as to present for me, herein! ;-)

Should I finally, be able to execute a DNA test, sometime, this year! [I am hoping for a DNA birthday present (mid- April!)], I WILL get back to you (with whichever male- family matches, the FTDNA Family Finder, should find for me.) since, of course, being female, I will have no Y testing,,but autosomal FF testing done... (I don't think, so, anyway, but that's about how much I know and/or understand of that materia, to date...)
:-D
Also, interesting, that you do connect to my Agnes!!!

Not to get totally off track, but wanted to mention this to Erica!

I have a Middleton connection, in The Duchess of Cambridge! (14th and 15th cousin.) Paths are posted under my "about section", for the curious and genealogically insatiable!!! ;-))
HRM QE II is an 11th cousin 4x removed and her ex- daughter- in- law, Diana, an 11th cousin 1x removed. Making me related to both sides of the Royal Dynamic Duo and a three way cousin, of their sweet little Royal offspring.
