According to geni, there is no relationship between Art and Andrew.

I wonder if all Garfinkel/Garfunkel families share a common ancestor? It doesn't seem too implausible.

Garfield's fellow Spider-Man contender Logan Lerman is likely the great-great-grandson of a Rekla Gurfinkel.
