I had a discovery hub match on myheritage and added the information to my Geni tree too. I thought those were very reliable, but the father turned out to be only 13 years older than the son. Further research revealed different parents.

Anders Ersson 7/10/1699 - 3/18/1788 Anders Erssonneeds to be disconnected from Per Ersson 1686 and Karin Andersdotter and all of his siblings.

If possible, please merge him with Anders Ersson estimated between 1680 and 1740 Anders Ersson and connect him to his correct parents, Eric Erlandsson and Anna.

Elyse Vahjen(c) ... don't forget about the advantage of "Collaborating" with each other (see the "Actions" menu when viewing the friend's profile) so that you can work cooperatively on the ancestors (Public profiles).

When you have a relative, that is .. lets say for instance 30 times removed.. does this mean generations removed? or how does it work .?

Private User, think of second cousins. It means they have a common grandparents. This is a "balanced" relation.
Now, if in one side it's a grandson, but in the other side it's a son -
we say it is "once removed".
Means "One generation is removed in one side", the tree is not balanced.
The "X" in "X removed" denotes how many generations are removed from the balance.
