ATTENTION Curators, please assist

Hi,
I am researching the Guyette family, one that is connected to mine. While doing this research I came across info on someone I think is also related. I was hoping by doing more research and adding info I could find a connection.

I wanted to add what I found to John Guyette and his family - John C. Guyette
The tree seemed to be abandoned, and I clicked the button under "actions"; but now I can't edit or add anything.

Can anyone tell me if Raymond is still active on Geni?

It's an unconnected , abandoned tree, already reported. Try setting up a stack with a duplicate profile in your tree and request a merge; then post the merge compare link back to this thread like done in http://www.geni.com/discussions/142108?msg=995070

Then we can give the merge a try, no promises on success.

Hi Erica, I haven't found a connection yet, so I don't know where to put duplicate profiles. When a tree is abandoned, what happens to those profiles?

Jill - if the tree is UNconnected, like this one is, they are not available except to view (if public).

Ok thanks. I think I may have found a way to connect that tree into someone else's.

Regarding Aagien Hermsen
She has two husbands, both called Geurt Speijers, but one of those (the younger one, born in 1749) is actually her son.
Can someone please annihilate this incestuous marriage?

Subsequently her two sons Geurt can then be merged, I think.

The overdose on Geurt in this family has obviously caused some confusion...

I tried to fix it and am not sure if I did Get it Right

again Thomas-1798 must be the correct husband, judging by the year of birth of everyone involved

Alfred Andersen has been wrongfully merged and now has two sets of parents. I am not able to remove one set (split tree)

Could someone please REMOVE the parents Anders Olai Andreasen (Terøy) and Nille Anne Birgitte Andersdatter.
The correct parents are Anders Andersson (1852 - 1897) & Johanne Kathrine Pedersdatter (1855 - 1937)

I have a duplicate profile, and your suggestion of move and drop, or merge doesn't work. All these moves doesn't merge when its supposed to. The profile owner have abandoned it, and not responding to requests to remove his profile from tree. Ive asked to be given the abandoned profile so I can remove it from the tree. As all this is taking too long, what else can i try to fix this issue please.

Can you post two links where the trees match (are the same)? Then I'll be happy to see if we can get them merged into a single tree.

There was an inadvertent merge performed on two completely different people, and now they are listed as one person. Margaret Ann Saetveit As a result, this person now has two mothers, two husbands, etc...

The merge was performed earlier today (Jan 25, 2015). Can it be reversed? I've spoken with the profile owner; however they are not able to do the work needed to undo it and neither am I (as I don't appear to have the permissions -- or perhaps the knowledge -- to do this).

Curators have an "undo merge" tool for merges after the end of august 2014 - seems to work best for merges that haven't been otherwise worked on. First time I've tried it & I think did the job right. There "might" be some manual cleanup needed so do check.
