Can Curators now change who the Primary Manager is?

And if so - is this a new ability or have they always been able to do this?
And are there any restrictions on how they choose to apply this ability?

If they do not have the ability - what does that entry in the Revision Tab mean?

If you look at the revisions tab of that profile, you will see that the primary manager changed as a part of an unmerge process initiated by a curator.

You should interpret that the unmerge was initiated by a curator, and as part of the unmerge process a primary manager change happened. This was probably to put back the primary manager that was there before the merge now being unmerged originally happened.

There is no separate ability to change a primary manager.

Looking further at Abraham Goldstein

A user has re-merged after the unmerge. If there really are two different people here, a curator might again unmerge, but this time MP both to prevent re-merge yet again.

I am used to seeing Geni attributed/pictured before statements such as
[so-and-so] was added as a manager of [this profile] -- appearing usually just above (so after) a merge is announced
-- this was attributed to a Curator, not to Geni (as folks being added as manager were), so I was thinking maybe it was more than just the result of the unmerge. Appreciate the clarification.

Can someone please tell me why some profiles only show the "About" and
"Basics" tabs, and it's impossible to edit relationship dates and order of siblings? I've come across quite a few like this and it's a bit frustrating not to be able to correct a basic and obvious mistake such as the order of the siblings. :-(

Good question!! And it seems when in that mode you can't even review the dates of marriage - if they're entered - which is probably why you're there in the first place.

I could not find profiles on Geni for his adoptive parents so I added them, if you find them on Geni let me know ans we will merge them.

to see the date of marriage, select the Timeline option in the main profile page

I have also received a private message from someone about this.- says it's "...the default protection of a profile manager's ability to edit his or her profiles in their own tree." - I didn't realise this, but I'm not clear how exactly one's tree is defined. Presumably the profiles I have created appear the same way to others then? But I have found myself able to edit lots and lots of other profiles... maybe because they are defined as being in my own tree?
I have messaged the profile managers in previous cases, but nobody responded. Perhaps I'll request collaboration with this one.

However it has been unattached from my 2nd great grandmother Carolina Eugenia Landgren Carolina Eugenia Levin . She has been designated a new mother Mathilda Josefina Landgren , whom in fact is identical to the correct mother I've linked to first. The problem is that most of her "5000" ancestors have fallen away and her parents have been made private, even to me.
