Jonathan, if your solution was to merge the two user profiles you should be aware of some problems such an action can cause, like getting the old email and old password as the current. The user should get an instruction on how to set password, primary email address and delete the old if not used anymore.

Could you please assist me some more? ... I've tried to recalculate the relationships for a few of my biological GGR grandparents after margining Fokje SIJES. But now many of the other GGR grandparents say they are not my GGR grandparents . I've even pushed on the thumbtack button but nothing works.

Recalculating a Relationship

In some cases you might be able to recalculate a relationship. This functionality varies depending on (a) whether you are a PRO user or a Basic User, and (b) how recently the path has been recalculated.
If you are able to recalculate a path, you will see a recycle symbol (two arrows in a circle) next to the relationship. If you click that symbol Geni will recalculate your relationship path to that person.
Remember: Geni looks for the shortest path, Geni uses cached paths, Geni limits the amount of time it looks for a path, and parent conflicts can affect a path. So, the re-calculated path might not be the one you were expecting.

Yes I have, but more I merge profiles of same person from other tree branches I've found on Gen, the more things get messed up regarding relationships to me. There are so many now I can't fix them. I've tried.

It is sometimes possible to "train" Geni to follow a particular path. You can do this through a process called "walking the path". When you do this, you are showing Geni the path step-by-step. Geni will then cache the path for several weeks.

To walk to path, go to Profile View for one of the profiles, then click on the next person in the path, then the next, then the next. Each time you click on a different profile Geni will calculate the relationship from the previous profile.

For many reasons, this system doesn't always work. If it doesn't, then it doesn't.

if I were you, it would ignore this path issue for now. First focus on getting all necessary merges done, and after one or two weeks or so try to recalculate these relationship paths and see what happens then

.Honoré ROUSSEAU is part of french canadian ancestry and very prooven with records from Thomas (only children)
and its no mention of a dauther migrate to south africa its not the first one to be mistaken with french canadian genealogy ,,,and since they all been disconected, witout source or records

It seems the manager of ALL the profiles on the branch has made them so no one can add to the tree or Change anything.

I merged with this profile and now I cant see his sister and all the other ancestors ... I can add 2 more siblings too. How can I get around this? please help.

That branch was a "disconnected" branch ... it is NOW connected into the World Family Tree, so you should be able to continue merging duplicates and adding to it.

The info were correct and added in a public tree, she has no right what so ever to just delete information unless it's incorrect, please assist in laying it back.

I strongly also recommend that you other curator consider to revoke her ability to act as a Geni curator since there really has to be some minimum demand that a serious curator are to fulfill.

Martin RhNegativ, if you think the profile needs to be disconnected because it lacks sources - you should start a Discussion from that profile, so that the managers involved have a chance to respond.

If you here on Geni actually don't have any guidelines at all? for your curators, here's an example that you can use. Feel free to add points if you believe something important are missed out.
