The source I have is a picture of a family tree in the form of an embroidered cloth. The cloth says the following: "This cloth represents Martin Ryerson's emigration from Amsterdam Holland to New York City in 1940. Married Annetye De Rappelye in 1663. The rest of the cloth represents two brothers Johannis and Nicholas Ryerson born in Patterson New Jersey in 1772 and 1781, their families and dependents to the present day January First 1900. Was worked by S. Jennie Ryerson, a grand-daughter of Johannis. I want this cloth always kept in the Ryerson family. Should it fall in the hands of strangers please send it to the archives of the Historic Library in Newark New Jersey.
