Thanks to Private for reminding that the American public television show, "Finding your Roots," returns for a second season starting tonight (Sept 23 8 pm ET).
What a great episode. I could not believe that it is was that easy for Dr. Gates to find Gloria's connection to Africa.
I kind of figured that she would have a Jewish father, but did not know that he was Jamaican.

This was a great episode, Just loved their reactions to the discoveries. I've been waiting for an episode where they found Jamaica heritage. Just fascinating to find 5 great grandparents with middle passage ancestry!
Sophie if you can jump in and help fill out Gloria's Jamaican tree ... We hadn't gotten too far when we started it for the movie "Lincoln"
And I only caught a few names to fill in.
Great episode. You really cared about everything they were learning and it makes me want to know more.
