To: John Patrick McCaffrey!

We are cousins! According to the chart, you are my 15th cousin, twice removed! I think I read that right....
Anyway... Hi! It's great to meet you!!!!

We're 15th cousins once removed, Danielle R. Shapley, via Sir Thomas Percy.

Edward III of England is my19th great grandfather.

I expect that Queen Elizabeth II will be very pleased to get your greetings, and I am sure that Edward III would have been happier in the California climate (that is, if you are living in Southern California - Mark Twain: "the coldest winter I have ever experienced was summer in San Francisco")

Mark

:-D
I'm with you, Cousins! All the way!!! <3

Not sure what is wanted, yes Edward the III is my 18th great grandfather.

Hello all King Edward is my 20th great grandfather

@Sandra, if your was back at The beginnend of the thread, we're xonspiring tomjoin in the funeral Events surrounding Edward III. ;-)

Conspiring to join.

Woodman Mark Lowes Dickinson, OBE :) I would love it if Queen Elizabeth II would be pleased! Yes, I am in Southern California. I've been to San Francisco a few times during the summer and yes it can get quite cold. Especially when you've shown up in summer clothes.

Theresa Renée Eléna Tossas-Cox Hi! I tried to look back to find out about funeral events for Edward III, couldn't find anything. What''s going on? Thanks.

Oh, sorry, for the reference, to go to the front... apparently, there is yet, another Edward III Discussion abounds, which informs that there will be a number of Events surrounding the final resting place of Edward III in Leicester, England during the Easter Season in 2015. I will have to search it out and forward it to you or add you to the discussion, onces I relocate it.
:-)

once... I relocate it.

The following line of descent from Edward III's son Lionel is verified in Gary Boyd Roberts "The Royal Descent of 600 Immigrants to the American Colonies or the United States:
Lionel of Antwerp, 1st Duke of Clarence
Phillippa of Clarence, 5 Countess of Ulster
Lady Elizabeth Mortimer 1371
Henry Percy, 2nd Earl of Northumberland 1393
Henry Percy, 3rd Earl of Northumberland 1421
Margaret Gascoigne (de Percy) 1450
Anne/Agnes (Gascoigne) Fairfax 1474
Sir Nicholas Fairfax, of Gilling Castle, MP 1499
Mary Curwen 1521
Mabel (Curwen) Fairfax Christian 1566

Unfortunately Geni has as Mabel's daughter Katherine (Christian) Burton ?1582 but I can find no evidence anywhere that there was ever a Katherine born to the Christians. So that breaks the tie for me to Edward III. I'm looking at others, so maybe. If any of you are basing your line of descent through Katherine, I think you should be aware the connection is quite shaky.

Hello Cousins... It seems that, Edward III of England is My 18th. Great-Grandfather. Perhaps My First and Middle Names may have been no accident?

Ed III is my 6th cousin 16 times removed, via "Six Degrees of Dick Cheney".

I'm getting a bit fed up with Cheneys, but I suppose the only cure is to see if I can build out the other side of my tree into something more interesting. It's a real briar patch though.

When I click he turns out red, but he should be my 6th x times removed cousin just as one of his wives.

Edward III of England is Ulf Ingvar Göte Martinsson's 6th cousin 17 times removed's husband!

Edward III Plantagenet, King of England is my 19th GGF

Hi cousins! Geni says England's King Edward III Plantagenet is my 20th great-grandfather through his son John of Gaunt, first Duke of Lancaster. I heaven't been researching my ancestry for too long so facts like this are super surprising and hard to process, because my recent ancestors led such humble lives in the mountains of Kentucky, Virginia and North Carolina. But I am truly enjoying the discoveries! I am now going to read Dan Jones' 2014 book, "The Plantagenets."

@Edward III of England is your 11th great grandfather's wife's 6th cousin 7 times removed.
