"From two almost identical manuscripts in the British Museum numbered 1424 and 1505 in the Harleian Collection, etc.:
A folio by Mr. John Saunders, relating to the County Palatine of Chester, 1424. The cover of this folio as follows:
1. Arms of the King of England impaling those of the Earl of Chester; etc.....
2. Badge of the Prince of Wales in a Glory: etc......
3. On the backside of the frontispiece:
(translated from Latin)
"Chronicle accounts Palatine Chester County, from its acquisition by Hugh Lupus, or Wulf, grandson of William the Conqueror; his individual decorations."
