I have nothing personally for this, my 8th grgrandpa

I see The Wikitree link has

It goes back another 2 generations to:
Vetin Helm
Born 1581 [location unknown]
Son of Jacob Helm and Margretha Anspach
[sibling(s) unknown]
[spouse(s) unknown]
Father of Hans Helm
Died 1633 [location unknown]

But I'm not seeing documentation on the site - although that just might be because I'm not familiar with how that site works.

I will have a look I have quite a few on him as has Daan.
But busy with Genesis stuff and Jan's books.

This is still outstanding - anyone know who the father was?

8 years seems enough time to have found validation for them :-)

I had no locks. I am encouraged by the number of people that responded so far. A cut at this time is premature since it stops the conversation and research.

Geni is an ever evolving tree both in the profiles and managers. Since the tree is based on the collaborative work of the managers and new managers have been added, their work thoughts, and research should be respected. These managers should be given some time to research and/or respond.
If they do participate, the whole area could be enriched because many of the profiles would benefit from some validation. Hans is not the only profile that has undocumented ancestors.
The last time I looked two managers have recently interacted in the other discussion. I find that encouraging and hope others contribute.
If there are no further indication that research is occurring after two weeks, then it should be revisited.

The Conversation remains open here - and the profiles are linked to it, so easily reinstated once sources are found. 7 yrs is sufficient time to wait - not sure what premature is in that time frame :-)
