ther are in israel two families that are discendant from the magid of Kozeinic.shapira and hofshtein. the son and grandsons of R' ishayahu shapira who was known as האדמור החלוץ (pioneer rebe) the founder of HAPOEL HMIZRACHI. the other is the family of R' israel hofshtein who established Kfar Hasidim

Hi all, the founder of Kfar Hasidim was Yechezkel Taub from Yablona. Here is some information about him in Hebrew. More, in his profile in Geni.
I am related both to him as well as to the Kozeinic Shapira tree.

dear bella(by the way my first name) both r' yechezkel toub of yablona and R'ysrael eliezer hofshtien of kozeinic founded kfar hasidim. R' israel headed a groop of chasidim named "Avodat Yisrael" and with the enccourgment of his relativ R'yishayahu shapira setaled in Emek Zevolun and called the place "kfar hsidim" til today the main street ther is "avodat yisrael"

A small anecdote: In the encyclopaedia of David Tidhar, my father's profile mentions him as belonging to the Koziencie Chasidut tree. Actually that is not accurate. He belonged to theYechezkel from Kuzmir Taub family.
A few years ago, I realized I was connected to the Kozienice tree through my mother's tree.

Private User I noticed that we are related by marriage through Joan Diamond and her ex Stuart Greenfeld. Obviously Horowitz is a commonly occuring name but it seems oddly coincidental that both Joan and Stuart had Horowitz grandmothers. I have not been able to figure out any more of Hyda Horowitz's family but it I wonder if there is more than just councidence? Unfortunately no one seems to know for certain where the Feldmans, Katzs and Horowitzs that Joan descended from came from.

I ttok a dna test on family tyree DNA and feldman, katz and horowitz comes up as matches for family I believe now that I descend from Michael Chwatt my grandfather who was the son of Blima Folman- the folman/ katzenellenbogen line. I have an alpha and omega family history its insane.
