James Barker, a descendant of Rhode Island Deputy Governor James Barker, wrote: "Frances, the wife of William Vaugn [Vaughn/Vaughan], died September, 1677, in the 67th year of her age. She was the daughter of Lewis Latham. She was some time the wife of Lord Weston..."
No record, however, of a marriage between a Lord Weston and Frances Latham could be found.
