i have a stong family tradition that I am related to the tosfos yom tov I have traced my roots back to my great great grandfather yeshayahu schenker who was married to Ruda Hirsch. It is my family's belief that Ruda Hirsch who was born around 1850 was a decendant of yom tov lipman heller

If anyone has a way to connect her to the Heller family I would appreciate it

I neglected to mention that Ruda Hirsch lived in Jaworzno Poland

Have you done any DNA testing. It's possible that we could one day figure out where descendants of the Tosfos overlap on the autosomal test results since it's not that many generations. A number of us descendants have done the Family Finder Test (FTDNA).

I might be wrong since he's my 11th ggf, so it could be too distant a relationship, but it's worth a try.
