Genealogy of the Lifshitz family from Lwow

The family name Lifshitz is a famous Jewish name. However, both Israel Lifshitz and his father Arie were single sons. Hence the connection to the previous generations of the family is still a mystery for us.
We are looking for hints and leads to find Arie's parents. We know that both Arie and Israel were born in Beresteczko, former Poland, Ukraine today. Israel was born 1881. Arie about 20 to 25 years earlier.
Any suggestions are welcome!

My grandfather Nachum Liphshitz-Lifshitz-Lüfschitz 1895-1974 was from Vologda Russia. His father Abraham had 2 brothers, one that was a Rabbiner in Yuzovka (today Donetsk in Ukraine) and the other Joshua-Yehoshua from (צ'יצרסק) Belarus. Their father was is written in my family tree as Yehoshua, which could be mistake, because he also had a son named Yehoshua.
The original family name was Landau, but Yohoshua or his father married a daughter of Lifshitz from Lubach (maybe Labca) near Novogrudek , Belarus and change his name to Lifshitz.
