Apparently the person (formerly) managing this profile has abandoned it and the tree and Geni. This is Not A Good Thing, as there is already one known impostor lurking around: Shane Mcbrian O'Neill
and there may be more!
Anne O'Neil disconnected as wife of Shane Mcbrian O'Neill
Arthur Mcshane O'Neil, [FICTITIOUS] disconnected as son
Shane Oge Neill seems to be the son Art who died in 1592
Don't know where son Phelim Dubh O'Neill belongs
I think I've got the deviation point now. This person Phelim Bacagh O'Neill is supposed to be the same as this person Phelim Bacagh O'Neill.
There has been some monkeying with the "Feidhlimidh" descent.
One merge and two excisions later, the mess is under control. I also have the O'Neills of Clannaboye traced back to Lazy-Butt Aed https://www.geni.com/people/Áed-Tóinlesc/6000000041593336518, who allegedly got his nickname for refusing to stand in the presence of Muirchertach, the Meic Lochlainn high king. He *claimed* to be of the Uí Néill of Tír Eogain, but no one then or since has known whether it was true.
Erica Howton I took ancestry's autosomnal a while back do you know some one who is good at interpertation of things? Robert E. McCann, Sr.,'s side I am sure of it accounts for a good portion of the 45% irish ancestry that was detected in my 99% europe mix so It's a good guess that these irishmen may be part of that droplet section..

Yup, my (theoretical) guys were on the "other side."
(this looks like it's quoting from the book)

A leading family of the Cenel nEogain branch of the northern U Neill dynasty, the Meic Lochlainn (Mac Loughlin) were descended from Lochlann mac Maelsechnaill, king of Inishowen, who died in 1023. There is some confusion among the medieval genealogists in regard to the ancestry of the Mic Lochlainn, due to a deliberately forged pedigree drawn up during the reign of the high king, Domnall Mac Lochlainn (d. 1121). In reality, the Meic Lochlann were descended from Domnall Dabaill, son of the Cenel nEogain king, Aed Findliath, whose other son was Niall Glundub, ancestor of the Ua Neill dynasty of southern Tfr nEogain. The Meic Lochlainn, who were known as the Clann Domhnaill, were a great warrior family, who suppressed their rivals, the Ua Neills, and then usurped their genealogy.
