Joane Strode - Different parents? Information for consideration...

P. S. According to GENI, Joane Stode/Stroud is my 8th great-grandmother.

It’s always nice to make that royal connection, but this Joane is not related to the wealthy Somerset Strodes. I have not found this connectionto the wealthy Strodes, if someone has a source for this, that would be great.

She is the daughter of Anthony Stroud and Margery Stroud (Barley), Joane’s grandfather, Benjamin Barley mentions Joane and her parents in his will. Could an Administrator please change her parents back to Anthony Stroud and Margery Stroud (Barley) as found in the “Revisions” section. Thanks in advance!

Thank you Charlene! To answer your question about Benjamin Barley, He is Joane's grandfather on her mothers side. There is a transcription of Benjamin's will posted on his page where he mentions Joane and her parents.

I found Benjamin Barley's profile after you did the merge on Margery Stroud.

I have added several wills as source documents for the family. They can be found via the source tab in profile view.

I have also added a few extra family members that were named in the wills.
