Seaching for Cahill Ancestors

Can anyone help? I'm looking for Cahill ancestors in South Africa.

According to an aunt, five Cahill brothers originally came out to SA during the Irish Potato Famine of 1845 - 1852, and my branch of the family is apparently descended from these five brothers. I've found records of three Cahill brothers receiving medals in the Frontier War that ended in1853 (Jeremiah, Martin and Patrick), but can't connect them either backwards to Ireland or forewards to my own Cahill ancestors:

2. Michael Melvin Cahill
3. Michael Morris Cahill
4. Michael Alexander Cahill

I'd be grateful for any infomation about the Cahill family in South Africa.
