Where can I see how many revisions I made ?

you cant see the number of revisions anymore, they changed it

how are these then coming in the Geni Top Ten lists?

I can see revisions...in profile view..at the bottom is Overview/Media etc...and Revisions...you click it and it will show them.

Unless you are talking about some other thing.

it was only recently changed. you go to your profile, click actions, click view revisions. it used to show the number but they added photos to revisons (pointless) and removed the number

You can also see what others may have done also....

I don't know of any MASTER revisions list...the only one I know of is per individual profile...

its curator only

It 'was'

I've also been confused about how people are still finding a current total figure. Then again, I can't say I care enough to have tried figuring it out. :)

Fay Elizabeth Dyer unfortunately the revisions tab is not working in my account, because the Geni software stucks caused by my more than 90,000 followed profiles and concerning revisions, these are to much to show !

Mike Stangel When MOST REVISIONS is such an important issue that this count for the TOP TEN USERS, why cannot this be mentioned on the STATISTICS on the profile page of each user ?

If you ask Mike Stangel that, why not ask why 'most documents' doesn't show...it got bumped for 'videos'...

Fay Elizabeth Dyer I don't understand what you want. If you go to your prophilepage and click on the
Activity tab, then you can see the number of uploaded video's under User Statistics Video's Added..

I know you can see videos...there used to be a list for most DOCUMENTS..but videos bumped it out..

Okay, now2 I understand you! Video's are so rare here, that these are less important for genealogy, more for social networking. documents are essential for the proof of data!
By the way, the competition for the best user was started now and that is a pity, because the most important work of a lot of curators, helping other users, can be interrupterd by the work to improve the numbers of followed prophiles, collaborators, familygroupmembers, added photo's, etc. which are less important ..........

Fred, people collaborating on this project are the ones who decided that "most revisions" is important, not Geni. I doubt that Geni really cares.

Curators are a miracle....it's like being a grad student and needing direction from the Dean of the Department....they are mostly un-sung heroes....and I applaud them for how they have helped the whole tree..

Speaking of curators as miracles, how does one get to be a curator? Is there a place that you can nominate someone for a curator position? I can think of one person. This guy right here, is an unsung hero.

Private User

We could remove revisions from Top 10, now that no one has the counter. But I wanted to see what people thought before doing that. I doubt anyone will touch the ones in the top 10, since I think they all attained their position using scripts. But, it was nice to have a 10th category for the Decathlon.

Randy, thank you, I have put his name in for a Curator.

You can add as tenth the number of members of the familytree of an user.

Ok Fred. Want to start it up? I have 2785 family members, probably not top 10, but for starting up the list you can use it. Problem is finding the stats. Not so easy.

It is easy to find!
1. ANCESTORS for a profile:
www.geni.com/list?focus_id=6000000002764082210&group=ancestors
2. change Ancestors into Family Tree in the Groupfield and you see 2785 people, so everybody can see this!

I see 2042. But go ahead and do the list, if you want to try. Maybe it will work.

Only 1829 for me!

4963 for me.

That doesn't necessarily measure a user's individual work, though. Also, you're going to have a lot of ties. Let's try to think of something better to use?

Franz Joseph I, Emperor of Austria has 4,722 or 4,725 (depending where you look).

Now I remember. There is a 5,000 cap of the family tree counter (like ancestors, blood relatives, descendants -- all the most interesting ones). That is why I did not include it originally. See Maria Theresa , Erzherzogin von Österreich und Königin von Ungarn und Böhmen
