Anne Vavasour (my 5th c. 11x removed) was never married to Edward de Vere (my 6th c. 10x removed). It was quite a scandal, as I remember it. Her family was furious when he impregnated Anne. Another of his alleged mistresses was also furious, e.g. Elizabeth Tudor (the Queen) on whom he allegedly had sired the lad who allegedly became the Earl of Southampton who was later convicted of imprision of treason for his assistance of the Earl of Essex in his short-lived rebellion against the Queen. Edward presided and voted to convict Southampton and then worked for years to save his life. An exciting tale, written by (and possibly made up) by Hank Whittemore in his book "The Monument." Anne never married, Nor did the Queen.

Thank you Hugh

I changed the relationship to 'Partner'. I will also post the link to this discussion so others may see your information about Ann & Edward.

Another supposed husband of Anne Vavasour is Richard Warburton who is listed in http://www.historyofparliamentonline.org/volume/1558-1603/member/wa... & http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/VAVASOUR.htm#Anne VAVASOUR0

There is listed a son Cecil Warburton.

It seems unlikely? These sites are not infallible. But is it possible?
