There is too much written here, it is so contradictory - I don't know where to start.

However this is amazing:-

"The origin of the du Plessis family: The later “du Plessis” and “du Plessis de Richelieu” family accompanied Prince Sigge from Asia Minor to Norway when his father, the once powerful King Mithradalce VI met defeat and was killed at the hands of the Roman General Pompey and later went to France with the Viking leader Rollo when King Harald I defeated the 30 Viking tribes of Norway and became their king. The du Plessis ancestor served Rollo as one of his subordinate nobles. The first recorded member of the family is Osulf, son of Frame, born about 961, died about 1030."

And the primary [contemporary] documentation for this no doubt came from the Tooth Fairy!
